Hi all, has anyone got a Thomas Marchant or two in their Tree?

1) Thomas Marchant b. abt. 1829 Speldhurst Kent UK m.1854 to Mary Wakeford

2) Thomas Marchant b. abt. 1793 Cuckfield Sussex UK m.1823 to Mary ???? might be Hollamby

I am looking for the Marchants from Battle, East Sussex.
Thomas Charles Marchant, 1 of 3 brothers all master craftmans in building trade plus one sister. Thomas Marchant married a Harriet Golbey.

Thomas Frederick Marchant born 1860 Dublin; died 1951 Dublin.
Thomas Marchant born 1834 Dublin died 1910 May 5.

His father Charles Marchant born ~ 1796 died ~ 1857 Dublin. Query whether he moved to Dublin early 1800's as an ironmonger and bellhanger.

Hello Fred,

I have a Thomas Henry Marchant born 1877 Southborough, Tunbridge Wells in Kent, he was the son of Richard Marchant born 1849 in Soutborough, Kent and the grandson of Richard Marchant born approx 1827.

I also have a Thomas Marchant born approx 1866, Southborough, Kent (he was the uncle of Thomas Henry).

Many of my Marchant's lived on Speldhurst Road which links Southborough to Speldhurst during the late 1800s and I live just 10 minutes away now!

My Mum is decended from this line of Marchants from Dublin too.
Charles b. 1846 (approx)went to Wales from Ireland as you mention and his brother John Marchant was born in Hereford in approx 1851, and this is where their father Charles went as well.
If you have more information than me it would be greatly appreciated.
