I am looking for info on a Moses Mannnon who was in Washington Co., Ark. by 1829. His wife was Mary Simpson, and I believe they were married by the time they came to Washington Co. Family tradition says they came from Tenn. Early land papers spell the name Maning, but at least by 1850 the family used some form of Mannon, Mannen, Manon, etc. Would love to hear from someone who has some ideas about this Moses.
