Hi, I noticed your posting, mentioning the ZANGRANDO name. There can't be that many Zangrando's in the NJ & NY area that aren't related. My mother was Mabel Lucille Zangrando (one of 8 ch) She was dtr of Arcangelo "Angelo" Zangrando & Giovanna "Johanna" Del Favero, from Clifton(& Passaic) NJ.
Angelo's parents were: Giovanni "John" Anthony ZANGRANDO & Amabile "Mabel" Maria ZANICHIELO, of Vodo, N. Italy, in the Italian Alps .
Johanna's parents were: Vito Del FAVERO & Lucia FIORI, of San Vito di Cadore, N. Italy, in the Italian Alps.
Arcangelo came over 1903, from Vodo, Belluno Italy, & settled in Clifton NJ. Giovanna came over 1905 from San Vito di Cadore, Belluno Italy. They were married in theSacred Heart Cath Church in Clifton NJ. They had 8 children. Do any of these names sound familier? Will be glad to exchange fam info, if we're related.
