ZANESVILLE: Patrick "Pat" Robert Malone, age 81 of Zanesville, Ohio died at 12:01 AM, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by family
.He was born Thursday, April 27, 1933 in Zanesville the son of Nicholas J. Malone and Genevieve (Burkhard) Malone.
He was married on Monday, April 14, 1986 to Molly (Dittmar) Malone who survives.
Pat was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
He Served in the U.S. Army.
He was in the first graduating class of Bishop Rosecrans High School and a star basketball player. He has over thirty years experience as an inspector for ODOT,
Pat loved a good argument just for the sport of it and known by some as the Master Debater.
He was well loved and respected by the entire Dittmar family, whom he lovingly called "You People."
He was a kind caring person with a quick wit and loved and cherished his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; three sons, Max (Shanda) Malone of Byesville, Ohio, Sam Malone and Ted Malone both of Zanesville; one daughter, Liz (Justin) Nethers of Zanesville; three granddaughters, Audrey Rose Malone, Zephyr and Zola Nethers all of Zanesville; one sister, Alma Miller; and two brothers, Joe Malone of Zanesville, OH and Mike (Skip) Malone of St. Louisville, OH; one sister-in-law, Sue Canter of Zanesville; his Mother-in-law, Jeanne Dittmar of Zanesville; and childhood friend, L. Abner Neff of Zanesville.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four sisters, Clara Synan, Rita Wagner, Jean Quinn and Mary McCarty; one brother, Jim Malone; and his father-in-law, John Dittmar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
