His father and mother were Hugh and Margaret Malone, and he had a brother, Billei, who was 3 years older. Hugh was likely born in 1858 to either George and Mary Malone (with siblings Isaac, Mary, and Susanna), or to Andy and Kate Malone (with siblings John, Andy, and Kate). My money is on Andy since there is an opportunity for Hugh to have named one of his sons after his older brother, John.
