FORT WORTH, Texas (BP)--A seminary student and his one-year-old son died in an early morning home fire in Fort Worth March 12.
Frank (Andy) Malone, 27, a first year church music student at Southwestem Baptist Theological Seminary, died in the 2 a.m. blaze when he went back into his burning rented house
to try to save his youngest son, Daniel. Both were killed.
Malone, a 1976 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, had already accompanied his wife, Jessica, and sons Michael, 5,and Jeffrey, 4, out of the house. • Jessica works in computer services for the seminary.

The story of Andy's death (and life) is told in a book written by his brother, David C Malone. It is his memoirs, titled "Miracle on 8th Avenue." Just downloaded it on my kindle a few days ago & finished it today. Worth a read!

I am a cousin to Andy, but never got to meet him, nor the rest of this family.
