I have Louis Malo (June 1838 - 7 July 1908) with NO parents. He and Harriet (Henriette) were married in Punam, Ct on 3 Sept 1859, but CT did not require certificates then and the index just records the bride/groom with no parent info. The Catholic Church records are published and they too had no parent info. I firmly believe he came from the St. Ours area of Quebec as many of the Canadian immigrants to Putnam came from that area.
I have his mother as Marie Henriette (Harriet) Vandal (July 1843 - May 1926), her parents are Pierre Vandal & Angelle Poncy dit Daupine. Her sister Adeline was my g g grandmother. When you get to Napoleon's children you should have a daughter Elmire listed that was born in Ipswich, Mass, if not contact me. My g g grandparents raised her as their own and she took the surname "Talbot" until she was married in her 20's then must have discovered or been told who her birth parents were.
