Classification: Query
Surnames: MAHONEY KILNER OCONNELL MAHONY
Hoping to get back in touch with descendants of John MAHONY or MAHONEY [bpt 8 May 1842 Inchigeelagh, Co. Cork - d. 3 Feb 1910 Fond du Lac WI]. His wife was Mary ___?___ [dates unknown]
We know they had two children who emigrated to the US:

1) Catherine MAHONEY, who married __?__ O'CONNELL. They lived in Philadelphia, had a son or grandson named Eugene O'CONNELL who was a policeman or fireman there. Also a Thomas O'CONNELL [grandson?] who had 4 children, names unknown, but possibly still in the Philadelphia area.

2) Timothy MAHONEY [b May 1872 Ire. - d. Philadelphia], who married Mary KINNEY [b May 1865 WI - d._?_ ] in WI. Several of their children died quite young in WI. Mary may have died in WI.

Their daughter Helen MAHONEY moved with Tim to Philadelphia after 1910, where she is remembered as a beautiful piano player. Tim may have remarried, to another Mary, surname unknown.
Helen MAHONEY married James KILNER, and they had 2 children, James KILNER Jr. and Helen KILNER Jr.

3)John MAHONEY may have had other children who remained in Ire. or emigrated elsewhere. Just don't know yet.

Eugene O'CONNELL and the KILNERs drove to WI from Philadelphia several times in the 1950's to visit their MAHONEY cousins [my line]. My gm Margaret MAHONEY REINHARDT went by train to visit them with my aunt Edna REINHARDT SAMPSON in the early 1950's also. Edna also played piano well, and I like to picture her and Helen together at the keyboard....so far, a few photos have turned up, but none with a piano.

Happy to exchange info, additions, corrections, & questions.
