My great-great grandfather was John B Mahan (died December 1864 in Iowa). Married January 20, 1847 in Hendricks County, Indiana to Lucinda Stephens (born 1834 in Indiana, died May 9, 1894 in Charita, Iowa). They had 7 children - William F. Mahan was my great grandfather.
After John died, Lucinda married Elijah Kendall on January 1, 1867 in Russell, Lucas County, Iowa. They had one son - Nathan Kendall, who later became a governor of Iowa.

I can find lots about Lucinda Stephens but I need help with John B. Mahan.
