Notes: Duncan MacLaren, a representative of the E. E. Alley Co., suppliers of industrial linens, died yesterday in his home in Canton, Ohio. He was 86.
Mr. MacLaren had lived in East Cleveland, Ohio for about 40 years before moving to Canton in 1956.
He still represented the Alley Co. in the northeastern Ohio area.
He was born in Leeds, England, and was a veteran of the Boer War.
He came to this country for the St. Louis Exposition as part of an Army drill unit. He never returned home.
Mr. MacLaren was a member of Pentalpha Masonic Lodge, East Cleveland, and St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Canton.
His home was at 2926 18th Street N.W.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie A. MacLaren; a daughter, Mrs. John Worthington of Canton; two sisters and three grandchildren.
Private services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Arnold funeral home, Canton, OH.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery here (Cleveland, Ohio) at 2 p.m.
