I am trying to learn more of the Mackey's of Rock Island, IL. Joseph Mackey was a nephew of James Shannon on whom I have written a book. His mother, or Shannon's sister, remains something of a mystery to me. This set of Mackeys would have lived in Rock Island in the 1850s.
