My grgrgrandfather and his brother left Ireland for Newfoundland circa 1830. His name was Richard Mackey - his brother, Thomas Mackey. I think that Richard had his bride with him, Molly Molloy. I have been trying to trace from where in Ireland he came. I had been told Co. Kilkenny. Could not find anything there. Recently, someone told me that he thought that he came from New Ross, Co. Wexford. Does anyone know anything? Thanks so much.
