Hi,
Is anyone familiar with Angus MacDonald, 61 years old, single, a farmer, born in Scotland, parents (Donald MacDonald & Mary MacLeod?) born in Scotland when he appeared on the 1880 U. S. Census in Rochester, Monroe, New York? He was listed as the head of the household. His family may have immigrated to Quebec, Argenteuil County, Canada, from Scotland in the early-to-mid 1800s.
Other members in his household were:
John MALLOCH, single, 50, born NY, farmer, parents born Scotland
Mary GALL, widow, 40, born Scotland, tailoress, parents born Scotland
VAN KUREN, male, widow, 75, born NY, worked Sadler Hardware, parents born NY
Elizabeth MADDOCK, single, 30, born NY, dressmaker, parents born NY
Rosa E. MEYERS, single, 13, born NY, at school, father born England, mother born Canada.
I'd appreciate your help.
Regards,
Bonnie
