hello i am looking for any information on my grand father as i never met him and am doing a family tree
his name was John Lloyd Mac Donald but often went by "Jack" or "Jackie"
Birth 22 Jan 1923 in Halifax Nova Scotia canada
Death 19 Aug 1977 in cape breton Nova Scotia, Canada at age 54
he married Dorothy LIllian Eveleigh and had 4 children with her
it is said that John's mother was Alma Briand who married a man with the last name macdonald
(some family say his first name was john, others say daniel and one other even claims Avious)
as a young child John's father went off to war and his mother Alma left john
on his aunts door step in glace bay nova scotia
(the aunts name was Eva May briand, but changed to Gracie because she married a man named willref gracie)
it would be a great help if someone knew ANYTHING!!! at all to help me out
