Mrs. Augusta Maahs, 78,
of 937 E. North St., died
at 8:15 a.m. today after a 6-
week illness.
She was born in Horton-
ville, March 14 1882, and liv-
ed in Appleton since 1917.
Funeral services will be at
2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul
Luthern Church. Friends
may call at Wichmann Fun-
eral home from 4 p.m. Tues-
day until 9:30 a.m. Wednes-
day and then at the church.
Burial will be in Dale Union
Cemetery, Dale.
Surviving are two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Doris Wassmann,
Appleton, and Mrs. Thomas
E. Hilton, Evergreen Park,
Ill.; one son D. C. Maahs,
Peotone, Ill,; three brothers,
Paul Klassen, Appleton, Fer-
dinand Klassen, Oshkosh,, and
Louis Klassen, Michigan City,
Ind,; and three grandchil-
dren
