To Whom It May Concern:

My wife and I have been married for a little over a year, she has been bugging me for some time to find out about my family. I only know a little bit that I will post here. My dad Ivan LeRoy Maahs died when I was 2 years old. His sister is my only living relative that I know of on my fathers side. My dad's family came from somewhere in Nebraska where my grandmother left my grandfather Alva William Maahs. I believe this name to be correct, however, when looking him up they have posted the year he died as 1990. He died when I was a little boy and in 1990 I was in highschool. There is no other information on my family that I can find. The only thing I know is that my family is from Nebraska and my grandpa has been married a few times. Once to my grandma Frances, the mother of my father. Please help I live in Missouri and would love to here from someone. Email me with info.

You have contact; what can you tell me about the Maahs family. I found out more information since I wrote my email; my great-grandparents were William Maahs and Anna (Gaskell) Maahs. Don't really know where they lived or where they're buried. My dad was raised in Nebraska somewhere.

Please help if you can!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Hanz

I am looking for information on my grandfather, his name was Lewis Federick Maahs, he passed a way before I was born. I was born in 1946. He was married to my grandmother (Lorena Evelynn Cox) She was born in 1882, so I would think my grandfather was born around that time period also. I was told he was born in in Wisconsin. My grandmother lived in Amarillo Texas until she passed away in May of 1975. Maybe some of your releatives are kin to mine. I have been looking and so far I have found only one other Federick Maahs. Let me know if you find out anymore, and hopefully one of us will come across more info as we search.

Thanks,

Pam

Hi Hanz,
I am mailing from England. I would very much appreciate a copy of the family tree mentioned, particularly if it covers relatives not in the States. My father was Hans Maahs, a prisoner of war who settled in England after WW2. He was born in Cammin, Pomerania, Germany in 1927.This region was given to Poland after the war.
I am able to get information on my fathers family as his four sisters are still living.
Thanks

Hi I am new to this board, and am trying to find my ancestors...I am starting with my Grandfather, Robert Maahs, and I found this forum. I see that you posted about a John Moss and his 5 children...one of them being a Robert. Do you have any info that would help me find out if this is my grandfather or not. I know my grandfather died May 1976. Please email at StuckInAK@msn.com Thank you very much. Erin
