Judy- We definately have a connection with Peter Frank Wess Sr., as well as Ellinwood, Ks. I have no more info on Elizabeth, as far as info about her parents, etc.; I would love to continue to e-mail and exchange what we have. I do have a few pictures of Elizabeth and would be glad to have copies make if you would like. I have one of Elizabeth with her daughter, Katherine, and her granddaughter, Elizabeth, who is my grandmother. I am looking forward to talking to you in the future. I wasn't sure I would ever find a trail. Thanks, so much.

I know you have been corresponding with Judy Jordan on the above, but I wanted to let you know that I have also done tracing in the Wenke family. Elizabeth Abel was my ggrandmother. I am from the Peter Frank Wess, Sr. side of the family (Theodore P. Wess, grandfather). This makes you a 2nd cousin and Judy is my 3rd cousin. I have sent Judy all this info also. Hi Jennifer.... Please e-mail me, as I would like very much to exchange some names and see if our families have a connection. I am the great-grandaughter of Katherine V. Maag, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Jan. 1, 1878 and died in Ellinwood, Ks. on Sept. 20, 1957. Her parents were William Maag (b. 1854) and Elizabeth Abel (b. 1854 in Belgane, Germany.) I have very little info on William. I do know his father's name was Richard. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

Hi: I just came across Jacqueline Thornton's notes about William Maag. My wife is descended from Richard and Angela Maag of Wisconsin. They are the parents of William Maag and numerous other siblings. William's brother Valentine is my wife's great-grandfather. I have lists of most descendants of all of these Maag's except William. I was unable to research William because he was no longer in Wisconsin during the years I was researching. Please contact me via e-mail. I would love to exchange info. I also have pictures of Richard and Angela and most of their children. I also have some unidentifed pictures one of which could be William. Bob

Thank you for your message concerning the
Maag's of Wisconsin. I have learned from my
grandmother's notes, that William died of
typhoid fever in November of 1878. There isn't much else that I know. Please contact me. (okthornton@aol.com)
