I DONT KNOW IF THIS HELPS BUT THE INFO I HAVE SHOWS
THE MARRIAGE OF ELIZABETH TO PETER WESS WAS IN 1880 THE
SAME YEAR SHE IMIGRATED WITH HER DAUGHTER - KATHERINE..

THERE IS NO BLOOD RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECENDENTS OF PETER WESS STEP-FATHER

KATIE MAAG-MARRIED TO A WENKE-SO BLOOD LINE GOES FROM MAAG
TO WENKE..
I HOPE THIS HELPS..SO YOU DO NOT WASTE TIME..WITH THE WESS

Hi Nikki.....thanks for the info. I have extensive info on Katherine Maag and decendants, but am looking for info on William Maag and his family. Elizabeth Able Maag married Peter Frank Wess in 1880. Katherine was 2 years old. Her father died in November 1878. Katherine was born in January 1878. They moved to Kansas from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in September of the same year. William died of typhoid fever shortly after they got to Kansas. His widow and daughter lived with the John Hermes family (who had also moved to Ellinwood from Wisconsin) for some time prior to her marriage to Peter Wess. I appreciate your response, as all info is welcome. Good luck with your search.

Jen and Steve:

Say your exchange. Was very interesting. What caught my eye, was Steve's reply. You indicated that you were from the Daniel Maag clan. I belong to the Carl Maag clan. They were brothers. I grew up in the Tripp SD area. My family is still there.

I guess, in a distant way, we're related. Would look forward to hearing more from you about the tree.

Regards,

I am seeking any information on Henry Maag born 1-20-1883 In Switzerland. He Died 10-25-1918 in Jamestown, North Dakota while visiting his brother John Maag. His WWI Registration lists him living in Harding ? South Dakota.
His Obit published in Jamestown mentions he had family back in South Dakota. Have been told he served in WWI in France. I am the great-grandson of his oldest brother Frank Maag who along with brother George Maag setteled in NE Colorado. Any info would be greatly appricated!!
