1852 NY Marriage -- LYONS & TIGHE

Classification: Query
Surnames: LYONS, TIGHE
A MARRIAGE IN NEW YORK CITY
24 February 1852 Groom: John LYONS
Bride: Anne TIGHE
Witnesses: John KELLY & Mary Anne SLEVIN
Priest: The Rev. William McClellan
Church: The Church of the Transfiguration,
29 Mott Street
NEW YORK City, NY

The above information is from a certificate received from the church records
30 years ago.

This couple, John and Anne (TIGHE) LYONS, came from Co. Roscommon,
Ireland. They settled in Clinton County, Iowa, shortly after their
marriage.
I haven't been able to find a sure match for them in Co. Roscommon records.
It seems to me that more LYONS and TIGHE relatives (parents, siblings,
cousins
etc?) would have immigrated to the States, and I'd like to find any such
connections to them.

Their LYONS children, born in Iowa, were as follows:

Mary Ann -- married a Gaffney Jane E.
Julia E. -- married a Gordon
Thomas Edward -- married a Cossman
John
Delia -- married a Burtis (correct name maybe Brigid or Bridget)
Margaret A. -- married a McGrath

Clues about the LYONS & TIGHE families of Co. Roscommon
appreciated; also any connections here in the United States

Happy hunting, everyone!
Janet LYONS
Iowa
