Hi, Thanks for your message. My great grandmother was Ann Jane Slevin who married David Brennan - they had several children one of whom was my grandmother Elizabeth. Ann's sister Kate married a Martin and they had 2 daughters. Another sister married a a Lyons - she might have been your Mary? My grandmother used to talk about Lyons cousins in Drogheda but the Brennan family moved to Manchester, England around 1906 and they lost touch. Any information you have would be appreciated.

Your Mothers father was John Slevin (my great great grand father) of 'Fair Street'. The Slevin family (grave) plot is in a place called Colpe just outside Drogheda. It provides the names of your great great grand parents. I have the records in my office in work and I'll email you more information about them tomorrow. I know the Slevin's were very comfortable and lived in a splendid street in Drogheda named 'Fair Street'. Now mainly a street occupied by Doctors, Dentists surgeries etc. Mary married a Sea Captain called James and they had 5 Children as far as I recall. Mary Ann being the eldest, then Denis, James, Joseph. Your probably not too interested in the Lyons Family but I'll find as much out about the Slevins as I can

Hi again,
I checked the records in my office. John and Ann Slevin lived in Fair Street, Drogheda. John died in 1898 and his wife Ann died in 1903. Their daughter Mary was my great grand mother. I can also tell you that John Slevin's parents were Peter and Elizabeth Slevin. As I said before their grave is in Colpe, Drogheda, County Meath.
Regards,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
Thank you so much for your reply - the information is really useful and I can add it to my family tree. We visit County Meath quite often so will definitely find the Slevin family grave - I had no idea where it was.

Kind regards,
Annette
