This site is specifically to share information regarding the Lynd family of Lawrence County, Ohio, who came from Ireland at the latter part of the 1700s. I descend from John Lynd and Betsey Pancake, but I have information on others from that family, presumably, plus there was a Joseph Lynd from Connecticut who bought land in the area. It appears that some of his ancestors settled across the river in KY. At this time, I do not know of any connection since this line migrated to New England quite awhile before the Lawrence County, OH Lynds migrated from somewhere in Ireland.
