Looking for any information: My Grandfathe was Harold Lynd, I have some info that he was born in Wisconsin. Some oral history that he was premature and they kept him in a cigar box next to the stove to keep him warm as a infant. The family name was changed from some Swedish as they did not like the way it was pronounced here in the states. He was a WWII Vet that served in Europe, recieved the purple heart. He died 1949 in Chicago. He had a brother(Paul)who had 3 children, and a relative only known to me as L. B. Lynd that lived in Hammond Indiana as late as the 1920's. His Mother lived in Harbert Michigan at that time. He also had a sister (Korin Rapp) that lived Britt Ia. as late as 1949.
