hawkfire, a new wrinkle in the Lynchard case has come to light. While your Thomas Lynchard (probably the Talbott Linchard referred to in this Kentucky Orphans Court document at the link below) is the son of Thomas Lynchard, I am certain now that Sarah "Lynchard", my ancestress, couldn't have been his daughter.
She was born about 3 or 4 years after he died. He died in 1815, she was born about 1819.
http://ancestryisland.blogspot.com/2015/04/who-is-sarah-lync...So that's why I am not seeing a Lynchard DNA connection with anyone. I'm not a Lynchard descendant. I actually had a hunch about that a while back, and so it is. Unless Thomas Lynchard had a brother or other male relative who got with Prudence Talbot/Talbert, I don't see how my Sarah Lynchard is actually a Lynchard.
