Hi Sheri!
It's been 12 years since you posted this, but just wondering if you would have the death dates of Samuel and Emma. They are cousins in laws, a couple of times removed. I am related to them through Sam's Dad's Mom, Lavinia Frazier. I have seven children in the Lynch family, Sam being the 5th born. Please let me know if you would like more information about this family - or if, after 12 years, you have found what you are looking for! I am looking for Sam and Emma's death dates, and also the date of their marriage.

Hi, thanks for this. I did know that Joan just passed. I am his daughter. He had an affair with my mother, also a student at Morven. I have made contact with some family and am beginning axrelatiobship with a few. Did you know that there is an alumni facebook page for Morven? Wife of the late Major John Lynch, former Coach to the US Olympic Silver Medallist Equestrian Team of 1968, beloved mother to Caroline and proud grandmother of Gideon. Mother also to Catherine, her twin daughter, whose little life was as short as her mother's was long. An accomplished horsewoman and a fashionista of great flair, Joan always followed her own path throughout her full and active life, and she will be greatly missed. Based on the city directories Donald D. Lynch was employed by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad from 1945-1960, or longer. Inasmuch as he was a railroad employee he probably did not have a social security card and hence does not appear in the SSDI.

I believe he is the son of Arthur and Mary Ann Kriser Lynch. You can find their tombstone and death information on www.findagrave.com He probably named his son after his deceased father. I believe this is Donald in 1910 and 1920.

Following is some information which may help you further your research.

Based on the following city directory it would appear that Donald died sometime between 1960-1971. I would surmise he died in Iowa since Erma is buried with her son rather than Donald.

Chris lost her battle with cancer at her home with her loved ones at her side. Chris should be remembered for her undying love for animals, her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Chris leaves behind her Mother Shirley Lockridge of Woodburn OR, brother and sister-in law Michael and Alice Lambert of Boring OR, nieces Michelle and Rachel. She also leaves her son Michael Lynch and Shawn Lynch of Arlington WA, daughter Teasha Lynch of Snohomish WA, and partner Rudy Putz of Arlington.

Memorial services were held for the family only in Woodburn OR. Donations in her honor, can be sent to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

You should contact Teashalynch1 who is an apparent granddaughter of Donald and Erma. Maybe she can shed some light on the subject.

I will continue to see if I can find anything additional on Donald.

I'm searching for more information about Donald Lynch who was born 22 Feb 1901 Mashaska County, Iowa to Arthur Linch
and Mary Ann Kritzer.

I located him in the 1940 census Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa living with his wife Erma Lynch, a son Arthur Lynch,
and a step-son Merle Walsh. They lived in this home in 1935.

According to Erma Lynch's obituary is was survived by the following children:
Merle Walsh (1922-1995), Arthur Lynch (1838-2001), Elmer Lynch, and Dorothy Irwin/Erwin. Think Dorothy's maiden name is Lynch.

According to the funeral home, Donald preceeded her in death. I'm needing more information about Donald - death date/place, burial place, marriage date/place.

Arthur Lynch is buried next to his mother at Fairview Cemetery, Sappoose, Columbia County, Oregon.

Also, would like additional information for their children.

My maternal grandmother, Ann Elizabeth Medway, nee Williams, 1910-1997, recounted stories from her childhood of Barney marching in Potsville, PA, parades. She said he was usually announced as one of the oldest living civil war veterans. He was apparently was Ann's great uncle.

YOUNGSTOWN – Edward F. Lynch, 79, passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2013 at his home.

Ed was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio a son of the late John A. and Alice J. (Mahoney) Lynch.

Ed was a 1952 graduate of Ursuline High School.
He worked for 13 years at Republic Steel until 1974 and then worked in sales at Trinity Industries for 22 years, retiring in 1998.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3289 Aries, the Vagabond Golf Association.
Ed was also very active with a support group at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home.

His wife, the former Patricia J. Hankey, whom he married Aug. 3, 1957, passed away July 3, 2004.

Ed leaves his two daughters, Mary Ann (Mark) Cornman of Youngstown and Kathleen (Rick) McCliment of Mansfield, Ohio; three sons, John (Cathy) Lynch of Wheaton, Ill., Edward (Janice) Lynch of Wexford, Pa., and Dan Lynch of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Catherine Bean of Boardman, Ohio.

Ed was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Lynch; and a brother, Robert Lynch.

Prayers will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church

I am descended from a Thomas Lynch who was born about 1830 and emigrated to the US about 1845 and settled in NY State. I have never found info on his origin until I read an article linking him to a Francis Lynch from Doon, Clare, and wondered if my Thomas could have originated there as well. The death certificate for Thomas claims his parents were John and Jocina Lynch. The given name and dates are the same as the one you're seeking. See any possibilities here? {More info as needed)

We have Patrick Lynch b. Ireland 1863, emigrated to NYC July 1883 with parents Martin Lynch and Delia McCarthy.

Patrick married Delia, maiden name unknown. Their first son was Martin and in 1910 they lived on Tenth Ave. in Chelsea neighborhood. Patrick's siblings included Mary Cotter, Nora Shannon, Kate Sullivan, Delia Costello, John and Martin Lynch. There was another whose name is still unknown.

I am afraid I cannot place your James at the moment! Perhaps if you can find out a little more about him - such as what his middle name was? My ancestor was Mary Lynch married James Paton 1860 at Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland. I am still searching for her birth and parentage - thought to be around 1840? There were quite a few Lynch's in Scotland by looking on the IGI. But my father used to say that they were from Ireland originally as I'm sure they were it being an Irish name.
I shall let you know if I find anything pertinant to your James and do keep in touch!

My GGgrandfather was Peter Lynch from Lubec, Maine. He was married to Margaret. My great grandfather was Peter's son, James. James was married to Mary Andrews. They had a couple of children, John and Mary. James died 1887. His daughter, Mary was sent to live with James's sister, Susan (Lynch) Cluney In Boston. Susan and her husband, James Cluney, adopted Mary abt 1894. If you have more information you would be willing to share, please let me know. I would love to have pictures. CORTLAND, Ohio – George R. Lynch, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Massillon, Ohio (Stark County) a son of the late George I. Lynch and the late Audrey Perry Lynch.

He graduated from Champion High School in 1955, and was employed as the Head Roller in the 12 in. Mill at Copperweld Steel for 41 years, until his retirement.

George was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, past Master, and current Chaplain of the Western Reserve Masonic Lodge No. 507. He was also a past Patron of the Eastern Star Opal Chapter 181, member of the Scottish Rite, the Fish and Game Club of Vienna, Ladies Firearms instructor, was a certified Pistol and Rifle Instructor Ranger Officer and a member of the Trap League, and a member of the Trumbull Moose Lodge 186. He enjoyed bluegrass music and attending festivals.

He is survived by his special friend of 26 years, Sue Conine of Cortland, OH; his children, Debbie Pugh of Jackson, Tenn., George R. Lynch Jr. of Bristolville, Mark Lynch of Bristolville, and Nora Lynch of Middlefield; his grandchildren, Amber (Kerry) Parsons, Justin Austin, Ryan Pugh, Kelsey Lynch, Slade M. Blair, and Autumn Blair; great-grandchildren, Cody and Shelby Parsons, Gavin Baker, and Jessie Pugh; and his brother, David P. Lynch.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Jordan.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Dan Wilson will officiate.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, Warren, Ohio.

I am looking for any info on Hugh Lynch, born C1829 in Co Meath, Ireland. His parents were James Lynch and Margaret Bryce.

Hugh eventually married in Glasgow, Scotland to a Unity Jones, her father was Joseph Jones a farmer from Ireland.

I have found it hard to find any info on any of the individuals I have mentioned, so if you have any info on any of them this would be appreciated.

Hi all,

This is probably a long shot, but am looking for any information anyone might have on a Selina Elizabeth Lynch.

I know virtually nothing about her, save that she was married to a Eugene Jeremiah McSwiney (or MacSweeney, MacSwiney etc etc), and they had 11 children between 1865 and 1879, all born in either Cork or Dublin, Ireland.

My best guess is that Selina died sometime between 1879 and 1882, most likely in Dublin.

My initial comment should be edited. My great aunt (now deceased) speculated that our ancestor Ann Sophia Lynch was the daughter of Sarah Lynch whom she speculated married Archibald Runyon. Further research suggests that Ann Sophia Lynch is the daughter of Peter Lynch and Hester Ann Saffron. Nonetheless, my great aunt left me information she had written out from a book that was copyright 1936 by Douglas Summers Brown, mfg by J.B. Bell (sp?) Co., Inc., Lynchburg, Virginia. She didn't recall the name of the book. I tried googling it and found a title "A History of Lynchburg's Quakers and Their Meeting House" that fits that info. My great-aunt's notes begin with info about Michael and Margaret Clark sailing on the Glasgow in 1669 from Southhampton, England to Barbardos in the West Indies. Then info on their son Christopher Clark and wife Penelope Johnson Clark coming to Virginia in 1705; and then info on their descendants including Sarah Clark who married Charles Lynch; and then on their descendants including John Lynch (b 1740 d 1820) married Mary Bowles and their 11 children.
