Oh dear, I am so sorry Kathi that I disappeared for awhile. Having two children and a full time job seems to suck up all of my time. My youngest is now 1 1/2 and I am just now getting back to the things I used to do "B.K." (before kids). I have not found out any more about our Lympany name. I only just now read Sandra Swingles post and from that have been able to figure out that Samuel and Mary were our immigrant ancestors. Looking at the list of children they had, we can surmise that Sam and Mary immigrated after 1888 but before 1891 ( assuming that Lillie May was born in the states...Sandra, can you verify this?). I have not found any record of them on the Ellis Island records online. Maybe they came through Philadelphia?
If any of our friends "across the pond" can help, it would be appreciated. We are looking for Samuel Edward Lympany, b. 1848, Liverpool, Devon, England; d. December 12, 1908, Nanticoke, PA, USA. He married Mary Ann Ridler, b. 1851 England, d. 1900, Nanticoke, PA, USA. I believe that these two immigrated to Northeastern Pennsylvania around 1888-1891.See Sondra's earlier post (26 March 2002 RE: JRe: Related) for details of their children, as that may be your link to us.
Also, I chat online at Genealogy.com's chat rooms. My screen name is buggaboo.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone!
