Annie or Anna Lybrook was borned 8/9/1855 in Ohio either Cleveland or Cinncinati. I don't know who her parents were. She was found on a river bank of the Osage River near Warsaw, Missouri when she was between ages of 5-10. She may have been travelling with a family named Shanks when an accident occurred that resulted in the death of one or more of the party she was travelling with -- possibly including her brother. Family tradition says that her father was German and had served in the Civil War; that her mother was of American Indian origin. I have no proven facts about her parents except that they were in Ohio when Annie was borned.
