Looking for my grandmother's (Selma Lybeck) family. She married my grandfather, James Petrie, in 1911 in Oslo before leaving for the United States. Her parents in Norway were Martin Christiansen Lybeck and Andrine Andrine (Johannesdatter) Johanneson. Selma had a brother, William (Wilhelm) Lybeck, who farmed near Steele, Kidder County, North Dakota about 1908. She had a sister, Fanny (Frances) Lybeck, who originally settled in North Dakota with her husband, Ole Borgesrood (Americanized to just "Rood"), and later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. James and Selma didn't stay in North Dakota long, quickly moving to St. Paul, Minnesota, where James became a traveling auditor for the Northern Pacific Railroad. Selma had sisters, Klara and Agnes and brothers, Hans (an artist) and Karl, who remained in Norway. Any information or questions would be most welcome.

Thank you,

David Petrie
