Cloyd is probably related to John Lybarker who was the first Lybarker to settle in Cass County. He was born in PA He had in 1816 nd died in 1880 in Mason Twp. He had 7 children - 3 boys and one girl amd Cloyd is probably from one of thmm. Cloyd died in TX and was in the Army in Alaska, which you can find on Ancestry.com. I am assuming you already know most of this but in case you do not, you can contact me at: krbuehler@hughes.net. I have a large amount of info about the Lybarjers as my mother was a Lybarker from Hastings, Michigan. Best regards, Ken Buehler

Cloyd (actual name is Claude) Lybarker was the son of Henry Lybarker who was the son of John Lyberker. Henry had 2 children, Ada and Claude. Ada married Logan Mohney in St. Joseph, MI and had many children. She died in Cassopolis at a very old age. Claude married Irene Barker. They had 2 children, both of whom are still living. Claude did serve in the army in Alaska, but did not die in Texas. He died in Florida (not sure what year) of pneumonia (worked in an ice plant). Claude's wife Nancy died young and both children were fostered out. Claude is my maternal grandfather.

Dear Gaylene,Sorry i have not responded sooner, but i have not had much time. At any rate, There was also another son -
Grover Henry Charles LyBarker born 20 Sep 1884. He married
Mattie Yell and they lived in the Petosky, MI area. His living descendant is John LyBarker at: jglll826embarqmail.com. I am emailing him to let him know about Claude as neither of us have been able to attach Claude to John LyBarker born 19 Oct 1794.John was the oldest son of Henry LyBarker born 24 Sep 1793. I have his
genealogy and if you wish, whould be happy to mail or email
it to you. I use Family Tree Maker 2010 software. Thanks very much for clearing up the "Cloyd" mystery, which has been in my "to do" list for over 3 years! My mother was a
LyBarker. Best regards, Ken Buehler krbuehler@msn.com
