Is anyone searching for Lyall's from Dundee/Newport-0n-Tay/Inverbervie. My grandfather's sister Isabella Findlay married John Brown Lyall (1895-1940). They have a son John Alexander Lyall b 1919 in Newport-on-Tay. I would be interested to hear from anyone connected to this family.

Carol

G'day Carol,

Can't find a connection with my family, but for some years I have been in contact with Lila Finlay, in Canada, who has Lyall ancestry. I know the name is spelt differently but, maybe, there is a possibility that you are connected. She metions that the name, Isabella, comes into her family. Her email address is finlay.lila@sympatico.ca
Kind regards, Ken Lyall.

Hi Carol
Your tree came up when I signed into my ancestry account. I noticed that you have Alexander Peter Whyte married to Margaret. Alexander Peter Whyte son of John Whyte & Margaret Fowlie was born Oct 27, 1859 and died 14 Dec 1938.
Alexander Peter Whyte married my Grand Aunt Margaret Hunter Skinner. I am going to try to attach the death registration from Scotsland People. Sorry for posting it to this thread

Ken - I notice you have Lyall from the east coast and a Canada connection. I research Lyles from Renfrewshire and a branch strayed to Kirriemuir and Barry/Carnoustie. Are youconnected to Alexander Low Lyall or James Low Lyall?
Kind Regards, Stuart Adam

Ken
I was wondering if you are related to my Lyalls. They are from Brechin and Edzel Scotland, My great grandfather was John Stewart Lyall. in the early 1900's he followed to of his daughters to Canada and his wife and other daughters followed about a year later.
