Looking for information on my gr grandfather born in Sweden in Feb 10 1870 according to various US records. No known town or city. He came to the US around 1890 and settled in the Boston area. He had been a seaman in Sweden and the US. He told my father he jumped ship in Houston, his citizenship papers indicate he came through the US in Portland OR There is no recollection of relatives or other known sources.
He married Johannah Matilda Johansson of Mölltorp, Skaraborg, Sweden in the US. It is possible he knew her before coming here.
I have been unable to find anything in my searches except one Charles Lunberg who was stillborn on his birthday.
Any help would be appreciated as he is one of 2 members of the family I cannot trace after several years of trying.
