Hi

I have just found out that my ggg grandfather Johan Lundberg (Born 3 May 1817) last name was actually " Rosenqvist "

His father was Karl G. Rosenqvist (born 16 Jun 1790-Pjatteryd Kronoberg) and mother was Johanna Andersdotter (born 23 Dec 1794-Granna Jonkoping)

Their children were
Carl Gustaf-born 19 Mar 1815 Granna Jonkoping Sweden
Johan ( Lundberg )-born 3 May 1817 Jonkoping Sweden
Fredrik Wilhelm -born 1 July 1823-Granna
Frans Ludvig-born 23 Nov 1828-Granna
Frans Ludvig- born 7 Oct 1832

I am not sure whether the other children took the name of Lundberg /or if they used Rosenqvist??

Johan Lundberg married Maria (Maja) Lind & they had 10 children

3.Emmeli Wilhelmina (bn-20 Oct 1843-died bef 1900-Cannon Falls Minn-married 1.Salomon Carlsson 2. Fogelqvist(13 kids?)
4.Johan Alfred (bn 14 Nov 1845-died-14 Feb 1890)lived with Berndikta Johansdotter & Helena Blomqvist(7kids)
5.Karl Oskar (born 2 Dec 1847)-married Magdalena (Maja Lena) Karlsdotter(10 kids)
6.Karl Gustaf (born 12 Feb 1850- Rydo Jonkoping-married Britte Marie Svensdotter >USA> Minn>Canada( 8kids?)
7.Johan August (born 8 June 1852- died Saskatchewan Canada)married Albertine Rosengren >USA>Minn>Saskatchewan Canada (6kids?)
8.Vilhelm (born 10 Sept 1854-Torup n.Bosatt Sweden)-married Amanda Cecila Lindqvist ( 7 kids)
9. Leander (born 27 Feb 1863-died 18 Mar 1893-Kobbol Torup Sweden)- married Josefina Helena Lundqvist (6 kds)

Leander's daughter Maria Elizabeth(born 11 April 1883- Pjatteyd Smoland-died-22 April 1922-Malmo)-married Karl Amandus Bjork(born 10 Aug 1864)

Leander's son Birger Ernst -born 11 Sept 1888-in Pjatteryd, Smoland- died 9 June 1981 Stora Tradgardsgaten

Johan Alfred's son Teodor Johannson Lundberg's daughter Ragnhild Bernhardina married Karl Oskar's grandson-Ernst Leonard Lundberg- they had a daughter Vivann(??)(born1926) married Tore Frank Valter Carlqvist (born Mar 1926-died 21 Nov 1993) - 5 Children

I am not sure why the families changed their names from Rosenqvist to Lundberg ? But if you are having trouble finding your Lundberg 's you might want to try "Rosenqvist" too.

I am interested in contacting any of the above Lundberg / Rosen qvist families in Sweden.
