Flora Lujan
Apr 29, 1916-July 3, 2014
Resident of Pacheco
Maria Florentine Archuleta was born April 29, 1916 in Blanco, New Mexico and passed away on Thursday July 3, 2014. In 1937 she moved to California. It was there that her brother Archie introduced her to his friend Pete Lujan. After a 3 month courtship Pete and Flora were married and in 1946 they set up residence in Pacheco where they raised their 6 children, and she resided for the last 68 years.
In 1969 Pete passed away but Flora's amazing spirit would continue to shine an enormous light on every individual that had the pleasure to know her. Along with 11 siblings and her husband Pete's 8 siblings her family grew to proportions that could not be measured by size but rather love, loyalty and faith. The eventual offspring would continue to grow and remain extremely close. But it was the extended family of friends that would define the tremendous magnetism of her influence and love.
Flora is survived by her 6 children, Peter & wife Noel Lujan, Anita & husband Terry Greerty, Gloria Durrell, Nick & wife Jan Lujan, Rose Marie Lujan and Anna Marie & husband Bob Bragg. She had 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Milton Archuleta, Henrietta Hayes and Donald Archuleta.
Viewing, Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine's Church in Martinez. The Rosary will be on Thursday July 10 at 7:00 pm with a viewing of the body from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
