Let me have your email address. You have so much information I've only started on the Luhns - haven't even gotten to the Prices and Prathers! I've only seen a couple of instances where I have a date or two that you don't.

I have a copy of The History of Poolesville by Dona L. Cuttler and Dorothy J. Elgin. It includes a segment on Elias Price's house.

I also have a typed copy of Eva H. Prather's treatise at the DAR library. I received it from Mary Tolker years ago. It's nearly 100 pages but I can copy it for you if you are interested.

I also have a copy of the Price Family Bible information that Marylee Price Buchly copied for Mary Tolker. I can send you a copy of that, too, if you're interested.

I have the 2012 version of Family Treemaker so I'm not sure you'd be able to use a CD from me (at least, your file was an older version so I'm assuming you aren't using the 2012 version). My father, Gordon White Luhn died on Nov. 3, 1989 in Florida

My son Charles Edward II was married on July 16, 1993 to Elodia C. Marroquin. They were divorced last year.

They have 2 children: Andrew Curtis Harber b. March 10, 1998
Savannah Victoria Harber b. March 29, 1999

My mother is still alive and lives with us.

are you the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Luhn, sister of David? We corresponded briefly years ago (like 1980s). My father was Gordon Luhn, Arthur's brother. I corresponded with David for a while, too.

Even if you're not THAT Linda, I'd still be happy to share information with you. My father was the son of Arthur Price Luhn, son of Randolph and Sarah Luhn.

I'm looking to find the parents of Emelia (Amelia) Luhn born in Nov 1860. Both parents born in Germany. I have a picture of Emelia with her brother Ed. Emelia married Louis Ortlieb and lived her entire married life in Calumet County Wis. Does this have any connection to your line?

Genevieve Luhn's parents were Genevieve Cooke Douglass and John Douglass. Mamie Douglass was John Douglass's sister.

I have William H Frazor married to Mamie Douglass,they moved from Tennessee to Tx to Okla and are both buried in Muskogee,Okla. William and Mamie's children are also buried
in Greenhill in Muskogee.
Mamie had a brother named John Douglass and he is also buried there.
I have all their obits and pictures of their tombstones.

Genevieve Luhn was my mother's sister. She's buried in Muskogee, OK. Her maiden name was Genevieve Douglass and she was married to Charles Taliaferro who died. She then married H.P. Luhn. Before that she taught voice at the U of Texas. What else would you like to know?

I am happy to see someone else agrees with me that this Luhn family arrived in the US at the port of Baltimore in 1850 on the ship the "Wenham". I am helping my friend, Earl M. Luhn, of Carroll Co. research his family. He is a descendant of Carl Andi Luhn or Charles Adam, the baby that came with his parents on the Wenham. I am happy to share what we have researched and would like to know more about details and source your material on the parents of Christopher Luhn. My great-great-grandmother's married name was Agusta Luhn, but she remarried and became Agusta Berg. She lived in San Francisco to the age of 97. Had a son named Charlie Luhn, who had two sones: Morton and Herbert Luhn. Morton had two sons, Joel and Manny Luhn. Manny had two sons, Mark and Jeff (I'm Jeff). Mark had two sons, Matthew and Jason. Matt and Jason only have one son each, but they are still young!

I have two girls.

Any relation to your family line?

I'm not sure if you had any luck with your message yet. I started my research about 4 years ago and have some info on the Luhns, and Liebmanns. Randolph & Sarah (Price) Luhn and were my Great Great Grandparents, and Gustav & Bessie (Luhn)Liebmann were my Great Grandparents. I have some info on them. I'd be happy to share anything I know. Since I've exhusted most of my research I only check the message board about once a year.

I can't find a link between Renz and my family in the family tree that I have.

August Luhn is my direct ancestor. (I don't think he had a < J > in his name.)

I´am a descendant of the Renz circus family from Germany and concerned with the history of this family. Large interest is valid for all informations about persons who are in familiy relations to the Renz familiy.
In this case I´m searching for ancestry, siblings and relatives of August J. Luhn and family in regarding to follow persons:
August J. Luhn, b. 04/30/1854, d. 12/12/1915
his wife Antonette, maiden name Renz, b. 08/16/1861, d.07/23/1917 (datas about her are not required).
August was the owner of the August Luhn & Co.in Barmen near Wuppertal, a producer and whole saler of washing powder

Peter Luhn (proable) son or nephew of August and Antonette. If they have more children is unknown.
Peters son was:
Hans Peter Luhn b. 07/01/1896 im Barmen near Wuppertal, d. 08/19/1964. Hans Peter was a computer scientist and employee at IBM, inventor of the Luhn algorithm and the KWIC indexation. Were awarded to it over 80 patents.

I am looking for information on Gottfried Luhn (May 12, 1819) and his wife, Anna Bitters (Oct 15, 1826), who came to the USA from Prussia, settled in Oconto, WI, then moved to Blue Hill Nebraska in 1880 or 1881. I have an original studio photograph of “Christ Luhn’s wife”, which I would like to get back to family members. Photo was taken in probably about 1920, and she looks about 20-25. Other Luhn photos obtained at the same time were from Dodge Co., WI.

I found a Christoph Luhn in the 1900 Dodge Co. census, but wife Johanna was age 63, born Apr 1837 – so the lady in the photo was surely not Johanna.

I have an original studio photograph of “Lydia & Clara Luhn, daughters of Gustuf Luhn and first wife”, which I would like to get back to family members. Photo was taken in about 1900-1905, in Theresa (Dodge Co.) WI, and Clara looks about 20 while Lydia looks about 18.

I found these sisters in the 1900 census for Dodge Co., WI, as daughters of Gustav (1858) and Mary, to whom he had been married 9 years (so she was not the bio mother of the girls). Clara was born Apr 1885 and Lydia Sep 1886.

I have a second photo identified as “Clara (Luhn) Miller”, obtained at the same time as the one of Lydia and Clara.

Hello Amanda--

A couple of years ago, I spent dozens of hours entering all the names, dates, relationships, etc. for my branch of the Luhn family into a geneology database. Much of the information came directly from my relatives in Germany and is known to be accurate. I think the "tree" goes back 13 generations.

I havn't done much with the program since that time, other than to add a few entries related to my immediate family.

I did a quick search for Johann Luhns; there were many entries, but none matched your time frame.

I would be happy to share the whole file with you or any other "Luhn seeker" who is interested in it. I don't know the best way to do this as I am a borderline Computerdolt when it comes to data manipulation. What do you suggest?

I was wondering if we may have a common ancestor and would like any information that you may have. My 3rd greatgrandfather was John Luhn born in Saxony Germany in 1827. He and his wife Maria (var. Marie) Kregh had 9 children. Please email me and let me know if, perhaps, we are distantly related.

I just happened to be searching for something in Google when I came across your entry. My father was born in Barmen-Wuppertal Germany, and the family history is known back to the1500's in detail and to the 1300's with a few maybe's and blanks. We are probably linked somewhere along the line.

I know about a Johann-Wilhelm Luhn born Juni, 26th of 1823 in emsbueren-elbergen, who was tailor. He emigrated in 1852. But his parents are Bernd-Henrich Luhn an Gesina Gronefeld. This family Luhn is written with a letter, that doesn´t exists in the english alphabet, it´s a "u" with to dots above. In international correspondence and als bureaucracy it´s written "ue". Graham H."Bert" Luhn, 76, passed away at a local hospital after a short illness on July 1, 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; and a son, George. He is survived by his sons, Rod of Norfolk, VA, Evan Ryan of the family home in Bosque Farms, and Edward of Pasadena, CA; a sister, Nellie Currarino of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Paige, Justin Ryan, Brittany Ann, and Gregory; and several nephews and nieces. A resident of New Mexico since 1957, he retired from General Electric in 1990, being honored for 23 years of perfect job attendance. Bert was a dear friend to all who knew him. Cremation will be with the Sunrise Society of New Mexico, and his remains will be interred at the National Cemetary in Santa Fe alongside his wife. No services will be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Wildlife Federation.

My great grandmother was Bessie Luhn Liebman who passed away in the early 1940's. She was one of thirteen children. There were several girls and a few boys in this family. The other sisters I know of were Ester, Mildred and youngest: Ethel who married a Skip Bishop and lived in Leesburg, Virginia, just across the Potomac River. There are several Luhn's still living in this area of Maryland and I would like to connect with anytone who thinks they may be related. I have a family photo of these thirteen Luhns taken in the mid 1930's. Please reply.
