Hi Marie
Thanks for your reply. I have had some correspondence with your mother in the past, and sad to hear of the passing of your father earlier this year.
You and I are actualy 2nd cousins, with your grandmother Grace, and mine Jean being 2 of the 9 daughters of John Greer & Eliza Luddington.
I have looked at other alternatives for Thomas Luddington particularly the marriage of Thomas to Ann McConnell in Manhattan 29 April 1872, given the names of Ann's parents, and how this gen may relate to family ties back in Donegal, Ireland.
I sm interested in trying to trace Thomas and Ann, as I also find the Madeline Duryea connection unusual, and would also like to find out where Eliza learnt of her Irish family, and who she went 'home' with, if anyone, because I cant imagine a girl 15 years old (or younger) travelling from New York to Ireland unescorted. Elza would have only been 15 when married to John Greer

If you want to contact me direct, your brother John may have my email address as he and I corresponded at the time of your fathers death

Thanks for getting in touch
