I am researching Seth Luce, b. 11 Oct. 1752 in Tisbury, MA, d. 1833, Union, ME. I have found several other trees which show him as the son of Joseph Luce (1726-1808) and Jedidah Claghorn (1727-1799), which was the Ancestry.com hint. However, Joseph and Jedidah's children do not show Seth. Instead I found him listed as son of George Luce (1731-1761) and Remember Merry (1733-1802). I'm confused, however, by the fact that his marriage in Tisbury on 01/18/1776 to Sarah Luce (1757-1825), according to this branch of the tree would indicate that he had married his sister!
If anyone can untangle this, please let me know!? Thanks!

see if that helps. there were a number of cousin marriages but i dont know of any sibling marriages of luces
