Yes. I have family history date bacl to France in around the 1600's. My gggggggggreatfather come from France/ His name was Jean Pierre Bondurant. The family flee France due to religious persecution and hundres of protests headed to Switzerland. There he was an apothecary. Later they fled to England. They was given land in Virginia to estblish a colony in the new world by the KIng of England William the 1st. Jean Pierre headed out on three ships and sailed up the James River in Virginia. They landed at Richmond and established a colony in Manakin Town Virginiia. He married a woman named Anne L'Orange Faure. They are burried on Birdsong Lane In Manakintown Virginia. If you type in Jean Pierre BOndurant and the Hugenots there is a list of the people who come on the ships. You will see L'Orange listed there.
