Hola,
I Live in Mexico and I too have my family origens
in Bari, Italy. Actually my family is from a small town
outside of Bari called Cassano. When they came over from
Italy in 1830, they were appointed royalty by the King of Spain
and given a large amount of land in the Yucatan peninsula.
During the Mexican American War they fought against the gringo
pinchy yanquis and were awarded numerous medals. Ultimately after
the assasination of Maximillian II the King of Spain appointed my
great great great grandfather the King of Mexico - but it was short
lived due to the Mexican revelution. Where in the majority of my family
was beheaded. In 1991, the Mexican government passed a bill
restoring the rights of all previous royalties, however I am only a
Lopane by marriage and I am unable to claim any of the
inheritance because my husband was the only true blood Lopane,
He was killed by drug lords in 1993. If you marry me, we could take
the inheritance for ourselves. Please write back. soon.
