I know this post is rather old, but I just now stumbled across it. So, you may already have this information.

Gabriel Long's daughter, Harriet Long Eddins, is my 4x great-grandmother. I don't have too much information on her, other than she married James Eddins, and that both Harriet and James, seemed to have passed away between 1850 and 1860. Their family is all together in the 1850 Census for Pickens, Alabama; but by the 1860 Census, Harriet and James' children are all scattered, living with relatives. Their sons, William (my 3x great-grandfather) and James, are living with Harriet's brother, John R. Long, in Noxubee County, Mississippi in 1860.
