According to notes I have, proof of the children of Mary and John Long is found in Bk. 27, pg.794 or 839 (numbered twice) Rowan Co. On March 31, 1821 children of Mary and John Long let John Long of Rowan County have 18 acres on Big Cold Water Creek for $810 (being the 18 acres each which fell to them from their deceased brother James Long.
An additional note refers to James Long d. Oct 9, 1820, age 20 years. If this is correct then this is not the James Thomas Long you are looking for.

Will of Frederick Long made June 8 1794 mentions son Joseph who gets land in Rowan and Cabarrys Co. Don't know if he had other children.

Did your Longs live near the Yadkin River? This seems to be an entirely different Long family who ran a ferry and had a large house before the Yadkin was bridged.

I've been searching for James Thomas LONG for many years now. He was bor somewhere ing Missouri 1856. The first document I have on him is his marriage license dated 1883 in Carroll Co., Arkansas to Elzettie Rebeca TRANTHAM.
James moved back to Missouri where the first 5 children were born, then to Indian Territory where the last 5 were born.

James died in 1912 in Maple , Oklahoma.
Any ideas that may help my search ?? I have a lot more on the TRANTHAM line and all the children of James.

Thank You , Jim Long

Roseanna Long, born 11 Dec 1785, died 3 March 1870 in NC. She married George Misenheimer, son of Jacob Misenheimer and Elizabeth Cress. Marriage Bond in Cabarrus Co. NC is dated 17 July 1806. She is listed in 1850 Census of Cabarrus Co. NC. She is also mentioned in division of land of John Long as wife of Misenheimer. She doesn't appear to be same Rosanna you are looking for. Sorry. Hope someone else will recognize her.
