Jim: Its best to give DATES in addition to places, so folks can better recognize relationships- if there are any.
In 1819 in Abbeville, SC, before Alabama opened up to settlers, John R. (Read) Long died leaving a will. His brother Major Gabriel Long , RWS d.183? in Greene/Hale Co. ALA. Both men were b. in St. Mary's Co. MD., grew up in Culpeper VA, and migrated with their parents to SC after the Revol. John Read had 2 sons, Nicholas and Reuben, who have not been traced.
