Hi,
I am so confused about the parentage of my Jacob Long. He married Catharine Fridley in 1809 and lived in Lincoln, Ogle County, Illinois.

Some have his mother Elizabeth Zug.
Some have his mother Anna Bunn.

I really don't know how to sort this out, nor whom to believe.
"The Big Long Family In America, 1736-1979 has his parents John Long and Anna Bunn.
Jacob was born 8 Nov 1784 in Franklin County Pennsylvania and died 14 Feb 1867 in Lincoln, Ogle, Illinois.
His daughter Mary Long is my progenitor, born 11 Aug 1820.

But Isaac Long, b. 1750s is supposed to have married Elizabeth Zug and had the son Jacob who married Catharine Fridley according to Coffman descendants.

I wish someone would provide proof as to which of these is correct.
