Looking for information on the Loiacono
siblings who settled in Detroit, MI.
Parents: Salvatore Loiacono (born in Terrasini, Sicily)
(His parents: Vincenzo Loiacono & Antonina Fronteri)
and Rosa Randazzo (born in Sciara)
1910 - Rosa and younger children reunite with
Salvatore in St. Louis, MO. Upon his death
(where was he buried?) in 1916, they move
to Detroit and move in with daughter
Anna’s family. Would like to know when
Rosa died and where she is buried.
Children:
Anna - Married Nicola Parisi in 1908 St. Louis, MO.
Anna and Nicola’s children:
Antonino (1913), Salvatore “Sam” (1925),
and Joseph (1929) – listed in 1920 and 1930
Detroit, MI census. Were there more children?
Are there any descendants?
Giuseppa – arrived with sister Anna in 1907.
May have married or died before the 1920
census. Are there any descendants?
Joseph – arrived with mother in 1910. Married
Estelle (parents from born in Poland). Unfortunately,
the 1930 census copy I have cuts off where his
occupation was listed. Joseph died in 1965 in Detroit.
Children: Salvatore “Sam” (1925), Joseph (1928),
James (1929). Are there any descendants?
Ignazia “Jennie” – arrived with mother in 1910.
1920 census – she is living with mother and
brother in sister Anna’s home. Did she marry?
Are there any descendants?
Two sisters remained in Terrasini:
Rosa – Did she marry? Are there any descendants?
Maria Antonia – Married Battista Amante
in 1904. Are there any descendants?
