Classification: Query
Surnames: LOGAN REGAN RUFF ROLF ROLFE
Margaret was born in Leitrim, circa 1824. She had several siblings, but I don't know her parents' names.
She lived with John REGAN, and they had a son and a daughter - names not known.
By 1848, John and their son had died.
Margaret was convicted in Leitrim, and sentenced to transportation.
She departed Ireland per "Kinnear" in 1848, and arrived in Hobart, Van Diemen's Land, now called Tasmania.
In 1850, she married David - an English convict - surname variously spelled RUFF, ROLF, ROLFE, and other variations.
Soon after, the family migrated to Victoria, AUS, and more children came along.
In 1868, David was terminally ill, and made his will a few days before he died. He provided for Margaret & her daughter (but does not give her name !); and for their children.
Their very successful dairy farm was auctioned soon after.
Margaret disappears soon after that - and I can't find her remarrying nor dying in Victorian or Tasmanian records.
One possibility is that she may have returned to her homeland.
