I am a descendant of August Loeb of Philadelphia, son of Benjamin and Babette Loeb, of Germany. This August, who was married to Mathilde Adler, had four children, Bella, Oscar, who was my great grandfather, Howard, and Minnie. They were in the banking business.

Other children of Benjamin and Babette were Moses, Estella, Mina, Marx, Sophia, Fannie, and Edward.

Oscar was born in 1879 in Philadelphia, so that puts August's birthdate a generation earlier.
