A cousin remarked about hearing her father, Alfred Locarnini who was born in NY in 1902 to Silvio Locarnini, mentioning his "Uncle Pete Locarnini," who emigrated to California. This Pete, or Peter, would probably have been a brother or cousin to Silvio Locarnini. Silvio was born in Switzerland, exact town unknown, about 1872. He married Jennie Cocari about 1898, probably in Brooklyn, New York. Silvio and Jennie had at least 3 children; Marie Locarnini, b. 1900 in Brooklyn, NY; Alfred Locarnini, b. 1902 Brooklyn, NY; and William C. Locarni, b. 1909, Brooklyn, NY. Note the name change from Locarnini to Locarni, some time between 1902 and 1909, when William was born. No one in the family knows why the name was changed. From 1920 census records, it appears that Silvio emigrated about 1890 (it's very hard to read). Anybody with information or help or suggestions please send an e-mail to my husband Jack Locarni at:
