BOARDMAN – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, officiated by the Rev. Rebecca Richie at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Canfield, Ohio for John M. Lobaugh, 71, who passed away Friday morning, November 1, 2013.
John was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio a son of Theodore Orville and Marguerite Eva Hotchkiss Lobaugh.
He worked for 42 years at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Lordstown, Ohio retiring in 2004.
John was an active member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church and enjoyed working alongside his wife with Operation Leaning. He volunteered his weekends to help the Victory Lutheran Community Breakfast.
John loved to travel all over the United States and loved to go camping with his children and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Judith A. Hartenstein, whom he married June 27, 1981; two sons, John M. (Paula) Lobaugh Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio and Richard N. (Denise) Lobaugh of Youngstown; a brother, Delbert (Kimberly) Lobaugh of Boardman, OH; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore and Edward Lobaugh.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
