finding relatives in Malta
My wife and I are coming to Malta in September and would like to connect with relatives of my parents...Carmela Gauci and Pasquale Lo Miglio who came to the United States via Canada around 1920. If you can help, email us, please. My grandmother's name was Virginia Abel Lo Miglio. My grandfather, who died in Malta in 1919, was Salvatore Gauci. Thank you in advance.

Re: finding relatives in Malta
Dear Mr. Lo Miglio, apologize me for my not perfert English. I live in Sicily, more exacttly un Milazzo in provincia Messina. My mother said to me that 40 years ego my family meeted the Lo Miglio family of Malta. Now she not remember other ( she is 82 years old). The genealogic line of my family is documentated in Milazzo from 1600. Some sight of the history of us are possible to find because we was the fondamentally people of this country. The araldic tittle of us is Baron, and the lateral branch (female) married the hight society of the city. At the moment I am the last Lo Miglio of my branch. I am 40 years old and my job is the management of the real estates of mine. This is all. I hope to have news about you. Your sincerily relative. Pietro Lo Miglio

Dear Pietro, We live in northern California. My husband, Dan, is John LoMiglio's son. John wrote to the message board in 2000 about finiding relatives in Malta. John passed away in December of 2002. He had three children. My husband, Dan, older sisters Marion and Laura who are both also married. I would like to hear from you to see if we are related. We haven't been able to find any other LoMiglio's either. You said your family geneology was from Milazzo. Is that in Italy or in Malta. I would like to hear back from you. if you find time, to see if you are related to my husband and his sisters. Sincerely, Denise Lo Miglio
