Hi Monica, I am a decendant of a Lluy. My paternal grandmother's name was Dulce Maria Guzman y Lluy. She used to tell me that back in the 1790's there was a Nicolas Lluhi who was an attorney in Spain, and he 'defected' to Cuba when he married a Pilar Hernandez. Nicolas also had a noble title of Conde de Cabeza de Vaca (Count of Cow's Head), go figure!! He was from Andalusia, Spain. When he arrived in Cuba, he changed the spelling from Lluhi to LLuy. This makes me Nicolas' great-great-granddaughter. That's all I have, I hope it helps you and me, as well.
