In 1902, Ramon Llaveria (born around 1866) and his wife Maria Llaveria Caralto (Queralto??) brought their four children, Juan, Maria, Elvita, and Aurora to Proctor VT via Ellis Island. Ramon was a stone cutter who came to work for the Vermont Marble Company. I suspect he had been to the US previously and had returned to Spain to bring his family over.
Josep (later Joseph - and my Dad) was born in Proctor on 2 May 1905. The family went to Cuba to live briefly (dates unknown)and returned to Vermont. In the 1920s, possibly sooner the family moved into NY state.

After his wife died, Ramon returned to Spain in 1930 or 1931 and lived in San Vicente de Calvero until he died -- around 1936, I believe.

I am seeking connections to the Llaveria family in Spain, Cuba, and South America.
