Hi,
3 brothers left Sweden for USA :

Ljungstrom, Bror Aldor Emanuel born 1900 August 21
in Monsteras, Sweden, left Gothenburg by ship on June 13, 1922 with
destination Chicago

Ljungstrom, Axel Sigfrid Efraim, born 1894 August 06
in Monsteras, Sweden. left Gothenburg by ship
on June 10 1914 destination Chicago

Ljungstrom, Karl Josef Valentin, born 1887 March 19 in
Monsteras, Sweden. Left Gothenburg by ship on May 11, 1906,
destination Chicago

Monsteras is in Swedish written Mönsterås.
The surname may be written Ljungström or Ljungstroem.
Chicago as destination was given to the authorities at
Gothenburg but if that was the final place of settling
is most uncertain.
Hoping to get some kind of reaction to my search
Regards
Per-Olof

I understand that my grandfather had a brother
Axel, noted for having to turn sidways to go
through a door as his shoulders were wide.
The story goes that one of the brothers stayed in
Chicago to run a bar. Several of the brothers
including John my grandfather traveled to
homestead in Saskatchewan near 1911.
